The payoff
What changes when your Magento metadata targets the right traffic
This is not about writing prettier titles. It is about attracting the visitors who are ready to buy — and doing it at a fraction of the time and cost of doing it manually.
A full metadata rework that would take a content team 40+ hours of manual writing is done in under 10 minutes. Review, approve, export, import.
Every title and meta description is rewritten for the search intent behind the query — transactional, commercial, informational. You attract buyers, not browsers.
Better metadata means better rankings, higher click-through rates and more qualified visitors. That compounds month after month — not a one-off spike.
The same metadata rework from an SEO agency costs £4,000–£6,000. You get the same output — every page rewritten, export-ready — from £97.
Step-by-step guide
How to fix your Magento SEO metadata
Run the audit on your Magento store
Enter your Magento store URL. We crawl your sitemap and find every product page, category and CMS page.
Review and approve
AI rewrites every product meta title and description. Edit any field inline and approve the rows for export.
Download the Magento CSV
Click the Magento export tile. You get a CSV with SKU, name, meta_title, meta_description and url_key columns formatted for Magento's Data Transfer importer.
Open Magento Admin
Log into your Magento 2 Admin and go to System → Data Transfer → Import.
Configure the import settings
Set Entity Type to "Products" (or "CMS Pages" for page SEO). Set Import Behavior to "Add/Update". Upload the CSV file.
Validate and import
Click "Check Data" to validate the file — fix any SKU mismatches. Then click Import. Flush the cache via System → Cache Management → Flush Cache to make changes live.
Important: If you change any URL slugs or handles, set up 301 redirects from the old URLs to the new ones before or immediately after importing. This protects your existing search rankings and any backlinks pointing to the old addresses.

Common questions
Magento SEO — frequently asked questions
Scan your Magento site with the Website Optimisation tool, review the optimised titles and meta descriptions, then export a Magento-ready file and import it back in. Hundreds of pages are handled in one pass.
Yes. The export matches Magento's import format, so no code or developer time is needed. You upload the file and the metadata updates across every page at once.
A one-off scan starts at £49 for up to 500 pages and covers up to 15,000 pages at the top tier, compared with £4,000 to £6,000 in typical agency time for the same work.
Yes. Every page title and meta description is rewritten to be clear, structured and intent-aligned — which improves traditional SEO rankings, AI Engine Optimisation (AEO) citations from ChatGPT and Perplexity, and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) visibility in Google AI Overviews.
No. The import only updates the meta title, meta description and URL key (slug). All other product attributes remain unchanged.
Magento automatically creates 301 redirects from old URLs to new ones. Your search rankings and backlinks are protected. Flush the cache after import for the redirects to take effect.
The export is formatted for Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce). Magento 1 uses a different import format — the Standard CSV export can be adapted manually.
Split the CSV into batches of 500 rows and import them sequentially. This avoids timeout issues and makes it easier to review and fix any errors.
A developer is helpful for large catalogues, but the Magento Data Transfer import is accessible to anyone with Magento Admin access. No coding required for the import itself.
